BREAKING: Nsukka jail break; Six escapees captured

 – There was a jail break at Nsukka prisons on Tuesday, August 9

– The Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) has said that 6 of the escapees have been captured.

– Authorities say the search is still on for the remaining escapees

The Enugu state controller of Nigeria prisons service (NPS), Mr Isaiah Amariri has announced the re-arrest of 6 inmates who escaped from Nsukka prisons on the night of Tuesday, August 9. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Whatsapp Six inmates who escaped from prison in Nsukka have been apprehended, says the Nigerian Prison Service (NPS) Amariri denied telling newsmen on Thursday, August 11 the exact number of inmates who escaped. He said the prison service was liaising with security agents and community groups to apprehend the remaining escaped prisoners. He said: “There was a jail break in Nsukka prisons on Tuesday night between 12pm and 3am, in which many inmates escaped, though six of them have been re-arrested. “I cannot give the exact figure for now as investigations are still on
